The importance of a dual formula

This product has a dual formula: it contains a high concentration of two humectant agents (hyaluronic acid (0.30%) and hydroxyethylcellulose (0.10%)), providing intense, long-lasting hydration.

Hyaluronic acid is a substance that can be found naturally in the eye and boasts excellent water retention capacity, making it an extraordinarily powerful humectant. The high concentration of hyaluronic acid in this formula (0.30%) provides the eye with an intensively moisturizing, soothing and long-lasting film.

Hydroxyethylcellulose is a plant-based thickening agent with powerful properties to boost viscosity and bio-adhesion. Its role in this formula is to enhance the viscosity of the drops and ensure they stay in the eye for longer.

There is a synergetic effect between hyaluronic acid and hydroxyethylcellulose. The latter creates a protective barrier over the surface of the eye, while the former boosts its moisturizing action. The combination of these two humectants produces instant and long-lasting hydration and lubrication.

Indications

These ophthalmic drops quickly and durably relieve the symptoms of moderately or severely dry eyes, which includes stinging, dryness, tiredness, soreness, foreign body sensation or excessively tearful eyes. Such discomfort can be caused by various factors including prolonged use of mobile phones, computers or tablets, very dry environments such as shopping centres, heating and air conditioning, wind, contamination, dust and certain hormonal imbalances such as menopause.

These drops are particularly recommendable in the following situations:

When carrying out any activities that involve straining eyes, such as working in front of a digital screen or reading for a long time.
When spending significant lengths of time in places with air-conditioning or heating.
When travelling long distances by plane or car, for instance.
When spending time in stuffy, smoky or polluted environments.
In situations where sand may come into contact with the eye, such as at the beach or in the desert.
When wearing contact lenses, given that these drops make for much more comfortable wearing, as well as easing insertion and removal thanks to their lubricant properties.
When suffering a hormonal imbalance that causes the symptoms of dry eyes, such as menopause.

Method of use

Instil one or two drops straight into the eye when necessary. You may need to blink several times to see properly.

Contact lens wearers can use the drops whilst wearing them for added comfort, or can alternatively place one or two drops in the eye before inserting contact lenses for easier handling.

Caution

Avoid bringing the dropper into contact with the eye, fingers or other surfaces.
Keep the bottle carefully closed.
Make sure the product seal is intact before using the drops for the first time. Once the bottle is open, use within three months. It is advisable to write the opening date on the package.
Take care to observe the expiry date shown on the bottle or packaging.
If irritation persists, refrain from using the product and talk to your eye specialist. You may be allergic to one or more of its components.
If you are taking medication, check with your doctor before using the drops for precautionary reasons.
In most cases, the drops do not cause blurred vision. If vision becomes slightly blurred, it will be temporary and will clear instantly.
Any serious incidents linked to the product can be reported to the manufacturer and/or to the competent authority in the state where the user resides.
Store the product at a temperature of 5 to 30 °C and avoid prolonged exposure to light.
Keep out of the reach of children.

Composition

A buffered hypotonic saline solution containing 0.30% hyaluronic acid, 0.10% hydroxyethylcellulose, 0.02% disodium edetate and polyhexamethylene biguanide at 0.0001% in purified water.
